CMPD Welcomes Graduating Recruits To It’s Ranks

CHARLOTTE, NC– The CMPD is welcoming their new colleagues, as the 174th CMPD recruit class has graduated from training.

Dozens of people came out to celebrate and welcome the new officers to the community. Even with the recent protests and unrest in the city, Chief Kerr Putney is confident that the city will be stronger in the long run.

“I think us as a profession, I think this community and this country is much more resilient. We’ve had tougher times and we’re gonna get through these as well,” said Chief Putney.

34 recruits graduated today from an initial pool of nearly 500 applicants.
