Police Investigating Armed Robbery In Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Rock Hill.

Investigators say the clerk was in the closet when the suspect entered the One Stop convenience store on West Main Street.

The clerk reportedly saw the suspect had a mask on his face so she continued to hid in the closet.  The suspect was seen on video surveillance waiting for the clerk to return.  The suspect was then seen on camera opening the cash register and taking the cash drawer.

Police say the suspect was armed with a handgun.  After the suspect got the money he immediately left the area, according to a news release.  No one was injured during the robbery and no arrests have been made at this time.

Police say the suspect was a black male that was approximately 5’8″ and was wearing a black mask over his face.  No other details were provided.
