HILDEBRAN, NC — A Hickory man has been charged in connection to a doctor’s office break-in early Saturday morning.
According to reports, deputies were called to a physician’s office on South Main Street around 4am Saturday in reference to a break-in. Deputies say they saw a suspect flee on foot when they arrived but were unable to locate them at the time.
About four hours later, deputies say they approached a man walking along Wilson Road near 4th Street NW for questioning but he ran into the woods. Deputies arrested Jerome McNeely, 45, after a brief foot chase and charged him with felony Breaking and or Entering and felony Safecracking.
