Ride Construction Continues At The Carowinds County Fair
CHARLOTTE, NC — The Carowinds County Fair took another big step forward Tuesday as crews placed the frame for one of the area’s four new rides, the Electro-Spin.
According to a release from park officials, it took workers about 10 hours to place the 53,000 lbs frame to set the foundation for the new ride. Officials say another one of the area’s new rides, the Rock N’ Roller, has also been assembled and placed on its foundation.
Officials also mentioned other additions and updates to the County Fair, including:
· Dockside Fries will get a facelift, along with new theming. The venue will serve the same delicious potato favorites, plus corn dogs and fried corn.
· The restroom facility in this area will undergo renovations including: new tile, countertops, flooring and paint.
· Additional patio space will also be added in this section of the park.
Ride testing is scheduled to begin at the beginning of March, according to officials, and the rides will debut to the public when the park opens on March 25, 2017.
