UPDATE: Β Police say the escaped inmate, Kristopher McNeil, is back behind bars in Davidson County. Β Deputies were tipped off by citizens who recognized McNeil from seeing his photo in media reports. Β He was caught walking down Highway 53 near Hickory Tree Road. Β
ANSON CO., N.C.– An Anson County correctional officer has been charged in connection to the escape of inmate Kristopher McNeil from Brown Creek Correctional Institution.
Officials say Kendra Miller, 33, is charged with sex with an inmate, providing an electronic device to an inmate, harboring a fugitive and aiding and abetting a fugitive. Β
Miller’s bond is set at $500,000.
Miller has worked as a food service officer since December 2014. Β
Officials say they have reason to believe that McNeil may be in Forsyth County. Β They are searching for him in multiple areas but have increased their focus to the triad.
