Charlotte School of Law Students Speak Out
CHARLOTTE, NC — “I found out, literally right before classes started in the Fall, my mom has stage 4 cancer up in Buffalo,” said Student Jeremy Snyder.
Second year Charlotte School of Law student Jeremy Snyder has been trying to take care of his mother up northΒ while taking classes and getting answers from the CSL administration on his law school future.
“They don’t return phone calls, they don’t return emails, and so they just kept stalling, stalling, and stalling,”‘said Snyder. “So I emailed and I said guys this is BS… we need some answers… we deserve answers,” said Synder.
Instead of getting answers he got slapped with an honor code violation for using what they called “obscene language.”
The devastating stories of students goes on, many of them showed up for an information meeting with attorneys Thursday night.
Sabrina Medley says she’s at a loss what to do.
She started in AugustΒ and is furious that the school didn’t warn her and other students that the school’s federal funding and accreditation were in jeopardy.
“Right now it’s up in the air. I got into Elon and withdrew from there to go here because it was more convenient for me to go to school here,” said Medley.
Now students can’t afford and don’t want to stay, but they are struggling to go somewhere else.
“It’s heartbreaking… it’s upsetting because now we’re trying to transfer. Not all our credits will transfer, so we’ll push us back even more,” said student Daniel Herrera.
Snyder says his citation is just another slap in the face from an administration who he says is the definition of obscene.
“Disgusting by accepted standards of morality and decency, offensive to moral principals and repugnant, everything they’ve been doing for the last month,” said Snyder.
