16-Year-Old Indicted For Murder, Robbery In Rowan County
SALISBURY, N.C. – A 16-year-old was indicted on murder and robbery charges in connection to a Tobacco store owner’s death in Salisbury, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Jhack Aaron Pless is charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He will be tried as an adult.
On August 13th, Pless was allegedly involved in a robbery at the Tobacco House store on Airport Road in Salisbury. In the process, the store’s owner, 36-year-old Mainank Patel, was shot and killed.
Pless appeared in court Tuesday, and the judge issued a true bill of indictment, the sheriff’s office said.
Pless is being held at the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in concord. He received a $850,000 bond. If posted, he will be monitored by a GPS device, the sheriffs office said.
