Anne Neilson Fine Art Grand Opening Celebration

Gallery Will Display Work By Neilson and 30-Plus Other Artists (Charlotte, NC) Noted painter and author Anne H. Neilson will debut her Anne Neilson Fine Art retail gallery at Dilworth Artisan Station in Charlotte’s Historic South End district on May 1, for a Grand Opening celebration 6-9 pm, showcasing works by esteemed and collectible national and international artists gathered by her and Gallery Director Elise Bainbridge. The gallery is an outgrowth of Neilson’s ever-growing popularity sparked by her Angels Series paintings and book “Angels In Our Midst,” hailed as “gorgeous” by Kathie Lee Gifford on NBC’s “Today” show. Among the gallery’s goals are giving noted artists elevated exposure to Charlotte’s thriving art community and providing private, public and corporate collectors with an excellent customer experience. In addition to Neilson’s art the show features artists working in a variety of styles and mediums: Abstract oil painters Ellen Levine Dodd, Jacquie Gouveia, Joyce Howell, Sandy Ostrou and Kerry Steele and abstract oil and mixed medium artists Lauren Adams, Karen Cappotto and Bonnie Goldberg; Impressionistic oil painters Ken Auster, Amy Dixon, Phillipe Gandoil, Josef Kote, Rick McClure, Lisa Moore, Lisa Noonis, Lori Putman, Dru Stowers and Jove Wang; Contemporary oil paintings by Constance Bachmann, Mark Horst, Eve Plumb, Elsa Sroka and Paul Stone; Realistic oil painters Jhina Alvarado, Murphy Ayala, Millie Gosh, Oriana Kacicek, Deb Kaylor, Ray Kleinlein, Ken Orton and C. Ford Riley; photographer Dean West; and British sculptor Paul Day. The 2,000 square-foot gallery space at 118 East Kingston Avenue in Suite 16 is designed by J Banks Design Group, Inc. of Hilton Head, SC, known for the casual sophistication of their interior work. Located adjacent to Darnell and Company home furnishings store and Campania Fine Molding, it offers buyers a synergistic opportunity to blend artwork with their furniture and decorations and enjoy custom picture framing solutions. In addition to bringing a world class art display and sales space to Charlotte, Anne Neilson Fine Art will also host Neilson‘s third annual “Strokes of Compassion” charity event later this year that displays the work of area artists to benefit worthy causes and organizations close to her heart as well as mount an annual group exhibit showcasing regional artists. Neilson is known for her dedication to “painting with a purpose,” prompting Charlotte Living magazine to praise her “unparalleled generosity in our community.” Neilson’s oil paintings of angels, landscapes, figures and still life subjects have caught the eyes of such celebrities as Oprah Winfrey and can be found in international public, private and corporate collections as well as at galleries and exhibitions nationwide. She will work from her studio space in Suite 27 at Dilworth Artisan Station, and is preparing a second book, “Strokes Of Compassion.” Anne Neilson Fine Art, 118 East Kingston Avenue in Suite 16, will be open Monday – Friday 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday by appointment.
