Homeowners Say Possibly Contaminated Well Water Impacting Home Sales

BELMONT, N.C. –  Possibly contaminated well water is impacting home sales near Duke Energy’s Allen Steam Plant in Belmont.  Homeowners say their values have taken a hit because of coal ash concerns over the past two years.

WCCB Charlotte’s Amy Cowman talked with residents and real estate agents about the concerns, how Duke Energy plans to provide clean water and compensate for if the homes sell below value.
