ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — A man and woman have been arrested for having a firearm on an elementary school campus in Alexander County.
Alexander County Sheriffs have charged Lee Roy Lingerfelt III, 26, and Carrie Marie Adkins, 27, with Felony Possession of A Firearm on School Grounds and Felony Possession or Alteration of a Serial Number on Weapon.
Lingerfelt was also charged with Driving While License Revoked.
Reports say Lingerfelt and Adkins were in possession of a 32 caliber revolver on Wittenberg Elementary School property. The firearm was found in the glove compartment of Lingerfelt’s vehicle.
The suspects were arrested and transported to the Alexander County Law Enforcement Center and given a $10, 000 secured bond.
