GASTONIA, N.C. – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a freight train headed towards Charlotte on 1800 W. Franklin early Tuesday morning in Gastonia.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS after the accident which occurred before 4:00 a.m. on September 24.
