ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies say a 9-year-old child was attacked by a pit bull in Alexander County. The attack happened on Saturday afternoon at a home on Pop Davis Road in Taylorsville, according to a news release.
Investigators say the child was playing in the yard of the dog owner when the dog escaped through the screen door and attacked the child.
The child had injuries to his ear and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is on-going. No charged have been filed at this time.
