Statesville Woman Charged For Stealing From Her Job

STATESVILLE, N.C. – A Statesville woman is facing charges after being accused of stealing thousands of dollars from her employer, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, September 21st, deputies were alerted to a local business that claimed an employee was suspected of theft.

The sheriff’s office conducted an investigation, obtaining security footage and business records, and found 51-year-old Tammy Fitzwater had stolen several thousands of dollars from her employer.

Fitzwater was arrested and charged with Larceny by an Employee. She was issued a $7,500 bond.

The money stolen was returned to the business, according to the sheriff’s office.
