The Americans will face the winner of tonight’s England-Japan semi for the title this Sunday in Vancouver. Carli Lloyd was the star last night as she converted a penalty kick in the 69th minute and assisted on Kelley O’Hara’s first international goal late in the match.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) β€” The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly wrapped up Anthony Davis with a five-year extension worth more than $140 million. The 22-year-old Davis is entering the final season of a four-year contract he signed after being drafted first overall out of Kentucky in 2012. A person with knowledge of the details confirmed the agreement to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal cannot yet be signed.

UNDATED (AP) β€” Kawhi (kuh-WEYE’) Leonard is set to complete a deal with the San Antonio Spurs. He has agreed to the basic parameters of a five-year contract to stay with the Spurs, a deal that could be worth $90 million according to a person with direct knowledge of the agreement. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the contract cannot be finalized until July 9, per NBA rules.

UNDATED (AP) β€” The Blackhawks and Blue Jackets have completed a seven-player deal. The primary name in the group is forward Brandon Saad (sahd) who goes to Columbus. The 22-year-old set career highs with 23 goals and 29 assists in 82 games this past season, while helping Chicago to its third Stanley Cup title in six seasons.
