PENFIELD,NY–A woman in upstate New York will remember her 8 year old son as a hero.
The young boy reportedly saved six people from a mobile home fire, then went back inside to save his grandfather.
The boy died in the process of trying to save his grandfather who also died.
The family says the two were best friends and it brings them comfort to know the boy and grandfather shared their last moments together.
The fire chief says the home did not have a working smoke detector.
