4 Charged After Assaulting 17-Year-Old Girl In CMC Waiting Room

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say four suspects have been charged after a 17-year-old girl was assaulted and robbed in a waiting room at CMC-Main.

According to reports, the incident happened February 15th at CMC-Main on Blythe Boulevard in Dilworth. Police say the victim reported multiple suspects confined her in a waiting room and then hit her in the head with a trash can cover, punched her multiple times, and then stole her cell phone, wallet, and bookbag.

Police identified the suspects as Thomas Howie, 19, Kaila Robinson, 16, Shaynicia Lewis, 22, and Constance Rickenbacker, 29. They are all facing charges including Aggravated Assault, Common Law Robbery, Kidnapping, and Possession of Stolen Goods.

Officials say the victim and at least two of the suspects knew each other.
