Ashley Park Students Get A Surprise Visit From A Harlem Globetrotter

CHARLOTTE, NC — Barry White, Jr.’s students at Ashley Park PreK-8 School got a big surprise Tuesday when Harlem Globetrotter Zeus McClurkin stopped by to spread some goodwill.

White, a fifth grade English teacher, became an internet sensation after coming up with the idea to greet each one of his students with a uniquely styled handshake inspired by their individual personalities. Video of White’s idea went viral and caught the eye of many across the nation.

On Tuesday, an Ambassador of Goodwill, Zeus McClurkin with the Harlem Globetrotters, payed a surprise visit to White’s class to get in on the fun and add his own unique spin.

The Globetrotters’ 2017 World Tour will be coming to Halton Arena at UNC Charlotte this Saturday, March 25th at 2pm and 7pm. For ticket information visit HarlemGlobetrotters.com.
