Wilson’s World: At The Relatives Previewing this Weekend’s Robert’s Walk

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at The Relatives Youth Crisis Center this morning to find out more about what is going on at The Relatives and get more information on this weekend’s Robert’s Walk to raise funds and awareness for The Relatives.

The Relatives is the Safe Place agency for Mecklenburg County with a local network of businesses, churches, schools, transportation services, and community locations that were willing to post Safe Place signs and identify as a place for youth in crisis to get help. Any child or teen can ask for help at a Safe Place location and be connected to the Youth Crisis Center.

This Saturday, Robert’s Walk and Community Celebration kicks off at 8:30am.  The walk begins at 9:30am at Freedom Park and ends at The Relatives Youth Crisis Center on East Blvd.  From 10am until noon there will be a community celebration with free food, music, entertainment and kids activities at the center.  For registration for the walk click HERE.
