Wilson’s World: Enjoying a Beautiful Day at Anne Springs Close Greenway
FORT MILL, S.C. – April is Love the Greenway Month. And what better way to kick it off before it begins than with a visit to a little area of nature’s heaven in Fort Mill known as Anne Springs Close Greenway. Wilson was there today to find out more about everything the greenway has to offer. The land was donated by the family of Anne Springs Close to honor her lifelong love of outdoor recreation and her commitment to the environment. Anne was with Wilson to talk about the greenway and the new Comporium Ampthitheater.
The Anne Springs Close Greenway is an extensive protected natural area in Fort Mill consisting of approximately 2,100 acres of lakes, forests, and pastures that include trails for hiking, biking, kayaking and horseback riding. All during the month of April there will be plenty of events going on at the greenway during Love the Greenway Month. On April 22nd, they will have an Earth Day Celebration that includes all of their regular activities as well as food and vendors.. During the summer the Comporium Amphitheater will be filled with music and visitors will be able to enjoy their Summer Concert Series.
