YORK, S.C. — A York man is accused of attempted murder after police say he shot at his girlfriend’s car while her children were in it.
According to the York Police Department, on March 28th, 2017, Timothy Jamarc Meeks was involved in an argument with his girlfriend about a broken phone, and other issues, at his home on Ridgewood Lane in York.
Police say Meeks’ girlfriend attempted to leave the residence in her vehicle, when Meeks brandished a firearm and fired the weapon three times, striking the vehicle twice and deflating a rear tire.
Authorities indicate three juveniles were in the vehicle when the shooting occurred.
Meeks was arrested on March 29th and charged with four counts of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle, Discharging a Weapon In City Limits, and Damage to Property.
