Rumors Abound About Panthers’ Draft Plans

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Rumors have been swirling about the Carolina Panthers’ interest in trading up to the second pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

The San Francisco 49ers currently hold the second pick in the draft.  Dave Gettleman thinks this draft is very strong and has already traded defensive end Kony Ealy to the Patriots in order to move up eight spots in the second round.

Reports indicate the Panthers are interested in selecting former LSU running back Leonard Fournette.  He may or may not be available with the eighth pick.

Carolina also may be interested in Stanford defensive end Solomon Thomas and LSU safety Jamal Adams.

If by chance, Cleveland passes on Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, the team with the second pick in the draft would be in position to snag the player most analysts think is hands down the best player in a deep draft.

There are no guarantees when it comes to the draft and many fans are concerned about what Carolina will have to give up to move up to such a lofty spot in the draft.

The Panthers are already a talented team and have the opportunity to significantly improve whether they hold the second or eighth pick in the 2017 draft.
