MOUNT HOLLY, NC– Mount Holly police are investigating a break-in at Mount Holly Gun And Pawn early Thursday morning.
Reports say officers arrived moments after receiving the call from the alarm company of a possible break-in in at the business.
Police say they observed two male suspects inside the store and another suspect parked in a vehicle across the street.
The two suspects inside the store fled the scene, one running away on foot and the other jumping in the suspect vehicle fleeing on to Hwy 273 to Hwy 27 into Charlotte.
Officers say they pursued the suspect until they disengaged near I-485 for safety concerns.
Authorities located the unoccupied, dark green Honda Accord, later Thursday morning on Tomahawk Ln near Moore’s Chapel Rd.
The investigation is still ongoing but Mount Holly Officers and ATF are determining if the incident could be related to other crimes in the area.
