Β CHARLOTTE, NC —Β CMPD says the terror warning will not affect Charlotte’s Skyshow celebration Saturday night. Β It’s expected to draw more than 100,000 people and has been named an “extraordinary event” again. Β That gives police more authority to control crowds.

As for as fireworks, we asked if rain could hamper Saturday night’s plans.

“We can actually shoot shows in worse weather than what the crowds would want to be here to see them in,” said Russ Ellis of Pyro Shows.

“It will be one of the largest fireworks shows in the Southeast. So, pretty exciting weekend for us,” said Knights COOΒ Dan Rajkowski.

This is the second year Skyshow will be held at BB&T Ballpark.
