Jacinda Jacobs and Tara Spil Getting Ready for ‘A Place to Call Home’
Tara Spil stopped by Rising to talk with Jacinda Jacobs about the Children's Home Society's biggest event of the year in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In the last five years, the number of children entering foster care in North Carolina has increased by 25%. There are approximately 600 youths in foster care in Mecklenburg County alone, and 50 will age out of the system this year without a family.
Children’s Home Society provides services to help kids get adopted, or reunite with their parents.
Ahead of their biggest event of the year, Tara Spil, the Regional Director of Philanthropy for Children’s Home Society stopped by Rising to talk with Jacinda Jacobs about the event, and what it means for local families.
A Place to Call Home event happens tomorrow – Thursday, May 11 – at the Westin Hotel in Uptown Charlotte at 11:30 A.M.
