CHARLOTTE, N.C. –Β Wilson made have graduated from school quite a few years ago, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t quit learning.Β Today Devonshire Elementary School welcomed Wilson into their classrooms today where he learned more about what the school has to offer the kids attending there.
Wilson talked with teachers who are just beginning their first year as a teacher to seasoned educators.Β And, he found out the same thing from all of them…it is very important to them that their kids at Devonshire get the best education possible.
Their Personalized Learning Program was implemented through a grant they received from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.Β This program offers students flexible learning spaces allowing children to learn based on their interests.
The school also has programs for students with special financial challenges as well as a program with CPCC to work with non-English speaking parents of their students.
