Wilson’s World: Gearing Up for NASCAR Action at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 2017 Coca Cola 600

Events at CMS begin today and end with Sunday night's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Coca Cola 600.

CONCORD, N.C. –  Wilson’s was back at his home away from home this morning giving us a preview of the food, fun, music and racing that fans at Charlotte Motor Speedway can experience this weekend.

Wilson took a tour around the speedway where he was checking out the wonderful food prepared by Chef John and walked through the World of Coca Cola Museum.  He was also inside the Fan Zone where he was at the Trackside Live stage where fans can enjoy a free concert by Big & Rich on Sunday afternoon.  Southern rockers Lynard Skynyrd will be performing live inside the pit area on Sunday evening.

And of course, Wilson is not going to CMS without having a little fun with a couple of drivers.  Toyota driver Myatt Snider, who won his first race at Bristol last weekend, joined Wilson for a little virtual reality pit crew challenge.  He was later joined by another Toyota driver, Christopher Bell and they both gave Myatt a little ribbing over the trophy he won at Bristol.

Wilson is proud to be the emcee for all of the military ceremonies at CMS this year.  Charlotte Motor Speedway has had a continuing partnership with the USO of North Carolina celebrating our service men and women.  Bus loads of military personnel from bases around the country will be coming to the speedway to celebrate and be honored for their service.  This year, pace cars as well as all of the stock cars in the 600 will have the name of a man or women who lost their life during service to their country on the car.

Everything gets underway at Charlotte Motor Speedway today at 1:30pm when the gates open.  For more information on everything at the speedway including parking, events and food check out the speedway’s website at charlottemotorspeedway.com.
