Investigators: local business set on fire 3 times

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Firefighters are investigating a suspected arson at a business in east Charlotte.

The Charlotte Fire Department says someone intentionally set fire to a Family Dollar store on The Plaza. Crews arrived just before 3:30 Monday morning to find fire and smoke coming from the building.

We’re told this marks the third time this business has been targeted by fire in recent months. Property loss is estimated at nearly one-and-a-half million dollars.
