UPDATE: The CMPD has identified the victim as 22-year-old Anderson David Biggers.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed in a shopping center parking lot.
CMPD officers were called to a shopping center on Docia Crossing Road at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and located the victim laying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.
Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the victim and suspect knew each other and had arranged to meet at the location of the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it develops.
