Four Arrested For Guns, Drugs In Steele Creek
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were arrested for possession of guns and drugs after police received a call regarding a disturbance in the Steele Creek area on Tuesday.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, on June 20th, 2017, officers responded to call referencing a person armed with a shotgun in the front yard of a residence in the 1300 block of Choyce Avenue.
Arriving officers located the suspect vehicle, a silver Nissan Altima, attempting to leave the scene.
Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle an discovered an AR-15 in plain view in the passenger area of the vehicle.
The driver and three passengers of the vehicle were detained and a stolen handgun was discovered on one of the suspects.
The officers searched the vehicle and found 5.1 ounces of methamphetamine, along with an unspecified amount of marijuana.
Max Guerrero, 21 ,was arrested and charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Kevin Almendares, 19, was arrested and charged with Firearm by Felon, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana and Trafficking Methamphetamine.
Kelly Reyes, 18, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Yonatan Mondragon Santana, 21, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine.
