Police: Man Shoots at Son During Argument

STATESVILLE, N.C.– Statesville Police arrested a man who shot at his son Saturday evening. 

Statesville Police responded to a disturbance call at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Diamond Street.

Investigators say that Donald Minor, 69, and his 42-year-old son were involved in an altercation.  

His son got into a vehicle and tried to leave, but Minor got a gun and shot two bullets into the front windshield of the vehicle.

Minor’s son fled the scene until police arrived.  Police say he had minor injuries to his hand from the broken glass in the vehicle. 

Donald Minor was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and shooting into an occupied vehicle.  He was held in the Iredell County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
