STATESVILLE, N.C.– Statesville Police arrested a man who shot at his son Saturday evening.Β
Statesville Police responded to a disturbance call at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Diamond Street.
Investigators say that Donald Minor, 69, and his 42-year-old son were involved in an altercation. Β
His son got into a vehicle and tried to leave, but Minor got a gun and shot two bullets into the front windshield of the vehicle.
Minor’s son fled the scene until police arrived. Β Police say he had minor injuries to his hand from the broken glass in the vehicle.Β
Donald Minor was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Β He was held in the Iredell County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
