Caught on camera: 100-year-old escapes California wildfires from nursing home
ALTADENA, CA– Newly released police body camera footage shows the moments two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies rescue a 100-year-old woman trapped inside of her elderly living facility. Officials say it happened shortly after the Eaton fire started in Altadena. The footage shows the deputies racing down the hallway, calling for anyone who may still be inside. In the video, the woman explains she had a hard time finding the exit and that she couldn’t hear anything because she is deaf and her hearing aids were charging. Luckily the woman was not hurt and was able to be rescued by the deputies.
