UPDATE:
MORGANTON, NC – People in Morganton can go back to normal activities after police found a person with a gun they were looking for.
The all-clear came around 12:30pm on Wednesday.
Earlier in the morning residents were told to stay inside their homes as police search for the suspect.
No other details have been released.

MORGANTON, NC – People in Morganton are being told to stay inside their homes as police search for a person with a gun in the Causby Road and Fernwood Drive area.
The alert to residents went out around 9am on Wednesday.
Glen Alpine Elementary and W.A. Young Elementary were put on a soft lockdown as a precaution. Those soft lockdowns were lifted at around 11:30am.
There is no information about the person police are searching for.
