LINCOLN COUNTY, NC — Deputies are looking for one, possibly two, suspects that broke into a woman’s home and robbed her Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, the elderly woman returned home around 12:15pm to find a vehicle parked in her carport on Sifford Road. Seeing the door partially opened and believing it was a relative with a key, officials say she entered the home.
Deputies say a slim black male, around 18 to 20-years-old, took her to a back room at gunpoint. The woman told deputies that the man said he did not want to hurt her when he took her to the room and placed her in a chair.
Deputies say she managed to call 911 while the suspect was still in the home, but they had taken off with a flat screen TV and lock box before law enforcement could arrive.
Officials say the woman was not harmed during the robbery.
Deputies say the door had been kicked in, and they believe there were two people inside the home despite the victim only seeing one. The suspect vehicle is described as a light brown or tan sedan.
