Delta offers passengers involved in Canada crash $30K

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Delta air lines is offering money to passengers involved in this week’s terrifying incident in Canada. Passengers who accept the airline’s offer would get payments of 30 thousand dollars. A Delta spokes person said the offer has “no strings attached” and does not affect passenger rights. If all 76 passengers take the offer, it would add up to more than 2.2 million dollars. On Monday, the aircraft flipped upside down after landing on an icy runway in extreme winds at Canada’s Toronto Pearson International Airport. All 80 people on the aircraft survived but at least 18 people were injured. According to officials, two runways at the Toronto Airport were to remain closed until at least later this week. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
