Woman Saves Puppy During The Middle Of An Apparent Drug Deal
CHARLOTTE, NC — A puppy is doing much better after being rescued during an apparent drug deal in east Charlotte.
Kaitlin Cappelutti stopped at a gas station off Albemarle Road and saw a group of people standing around the dog. The dog had burn marks all over its body and seemed unwell.
Cappelutti says she talked with the group about the puppy, and was then asked if she had any ‘rock.’ When she said no, she asked if she could just buy the puppy instead of trading.
She went into the gas station to get $50 out of the ATM, and bought the dog.
South Charlotte Dog Rescue has also stepped in and got the dog medical treatment and a foster home.Police are investigating the incident.
