UPDATE: Suspect arrested following deadly shooting at gas station near Carowinds

YORK CO., SC – The York County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect is in custody following a deadly shooting near the Circle K off Carowinds Boulevard in Fort Mill.

The shooting happened around 5:30am on Monday.

Investigators found a man who had been shot and say first responders tried to save his life, but he died.

The Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested the suspect during a traffic stop on Old York Road at around 9:30 am.

Duan Partlow of Sharon, SC is accused of shooting the person after an argument.

Partlow is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
