Person struck by light rail train in South End

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating after a person was struck by a light rail train in South End.

This happened around 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning on the tracks near South Boulevard and Remount Road.

The person struck was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police did shut down traffic in that area for several hours while they investigated.
