LENOIR, N.C. — Police say an infant was killed after being ran over by a car in Lenoir.
Investigators a 6-year-old and 8-year-old were playing inside a parked car on Sunset Street in Lenoir when the vehicle started rolling downhill, striking the infant and then hitting a parked vehicle.
The 9-month-old infant was pronounced dead on the scene. DSS was called to the scene and police say they are still investigating. No charges have been announced at this time.
