Amazon is on the hunt for a second headquarters and the Queen City could be a top pick. The Charlotte Observer is reporting that Charlotte will put in a bid. Amazon’s original headquarters is in Seattle…. and critics there say Amazon played a huge part on the city’s historic real estate boom.

That’s what drover up rent and home prices, turning Seattle into one of the most expensive places to live in the country.

The average rent for a two bedroom apartment is nearly $1,500 and the average home is about $235,000. As of March nearly 12,000 apartments are in the process of being built… Can Charlotte handle this? Would having Amazon here be worth the possible hikes in real estate?
