RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina National Guard is opening three staging areas to assist local authorities with response to Hurricane Irma.
Over 300 soldiers and airmen have been deployed to centers in Asheville, Greensboro and Charlotte.
The National Guard Staging areas are at the following locations.
- 100 Minuteman Drive, Asheville 28806
- 110 Franklin Blvd., Greensboro 27401
- 4240 West Blvd., Charlotte 28806
Governor Cooper will visit the Greensboro staging location at 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
