Bahakel Communications is seeking a managing Director. A minimum of 5 years directing live news (or relevant experience) is preferred.
This position is responsible for the visual direction and clean technical execution of our newscasts. Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Collaborate (to provide creative input and ideas) with the newscast producers, directors and production staff in efforts to increase our overall production values.
Responsible for the overall quality control of the execution of:
– WCCB Rising (5am – 9am)
– WOLO Good Morning Columbia (5am – 7am)
– WOLO Noon Newscast (noon – 12:30pm)
– Promotional needs (5am -12:30pm)
Responsible for ongoing training and evaluation of the morning the production staff
– Directors
– Audio Operators
– Studio Operators
Work closely with the newscast producers and production crew to provide creative input
SECONDARY DUTIES
Studio support, graphics, audio, video-tape playback and remote production, or any other tasks deemed necessary by management to meet the operational needs of both WCCB and WOLO.
