Wilson’s World: Previewing the Fall 2017 Pennzoil AutoFair at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The Fall 2017 Pennzoil AutoFair at Charlotte Motor Speedway runs today thru Sunday, September 24th.

CONCORD, N.C. – It was another trip back to “home away from home” for Wilson this morning as he headed to Concord and the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  He was giving us a preview of some of the cars, vendors and fun that visitors at this year’s Pennzoil AutoFair will find.

The production of the Dodge Viper sports car was discontinued earlier this year, so the show is giving center stage to the car with a tribute to the iconic muscle car.  Larry Martof with the Viper Owners Association showed off a couple of the Vipers that will be on display.  The highlight of the tribute to the Viper is Ray Evernham’s blue-and-white 1996 Viper GTS – which he received as a bonus when Evernham served as crew chief for Jeff Gordon‘s first NASCAR Cup Series championship in 1995.

Visitors will enjoy the thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, exotic sports cars and classic automobiles that will be on display.  There will be over 10,000 automotive vendor displays, a massive manufacturers’ midway, a kids’ PlayZone, fun fair food and more.  Adults will have the opportunity to test drive autos.  Kyle Kelley, star of  Street Outlaws: New Orleans will be at the show on Friday and Saturday.

The Pennzoil AutoFair runs from today through Sunday, September 24th from 8am until 6pm each day.  For more information including events, ticket prices, camping and parking go to their weblink HERE.
