CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say the remains of 67-year-old Raymond Johnson, who has been missing since September 2017, were found Wednesday afternoon.
Johnson had reportedly gone missing on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the area of Monroe Road and Greyston Apartments Drive. A Silver Alert was also issued in response to his disappearance.
Around 1:53pm on Wednesday, officials say they located his remains on Ormsby Court, roughly two miles from where he was last seen. His identity was confirmed by the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner the following day.
Investigators say they do not suspect foul play at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. There has been no word yet on what may have led to his death.
