CHARLOTTE – This summer, South End’s Camden Road will once again transform into a dynamic block party with the return of Camden Commons. The street fest, now in its fourth year, is produced by Charlotte Center City Partners.
Taking place on May 25, June 29, and July 27, Camden Commons invites attendees to explore the event and the South End neighborhood in their own way. Each event will take place from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Attendees can choose to engage in healthy competition with larger-than-life games, unwind in creative lounging spaces, enjoy a DJ spinning tunes, or shop with small businesses, ultimately crafting their perfect day in South End.
“Camden Commons is South End at its best – laid back, vibrant, and full of joy,” said Allison Mills, the South End Community Manager at Charlotte Center City Partners. “It’s the perfect place to fall in love with a local business, catch up with friends, or dilly dally the day away.
Whether you are building a bouquet of flowers, taking the perfect Instagram photo under the rainbow arch, people watching, or joining in on a sidewalk line dance, there's magic in every
moment.”
Located in the heart of the neighborhood, Camden Commons will create an opportunity for visitors and residents alike to explore everything South End has to offer, from surrounding restaurants to brick-and-mortar retail stores.
The event itself and surrounding scenery offer plenty of backdrops for the perfect photo opportunity to create lasting memories with loved
ones.
Camden Road will be closed to cars from Tremont Ave. to East/West Blvd. from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during each Camden Commons event. For more information click here.
