Beautiful, breezy days ahead

Outside of a stray shower, rain chances remain few and far between over the next five days.

Summer has made itself at home over the past 10 days, but its reign of dominance is finally coming to an end as a pair of cold fronts cut through the Carolinas this Wednesday. Cooler air arrives overnight into Thursday morning as lows dip near 60° around the Metro. We’ll start the day closer to 50° in the High Country. Expect a beautiful and breezy day on Thursday; while highs flirt with 80° across the Piedmont and Foothills, 30-40 mph wind gusts and much lower humidity will make the warmth very manageable. Winds soften their stance by Friday, but the dry air sticks around as afternoon temperatures hover around the 60s and 70s across the board.

A stray shower or two may roll through the weekend, but the good times largely roll through Sunday. Highs remain in the 60s and 70s throughout the WCCB Charlotte viewing area for May’s final full weekend. Our next significant rain chances won’t arrive until Monday evening at the earliest.
