Grace Chapel Road To Remain Closed Wednesday As Crews Continue Storm Damage Repairs

Caldwell County officials say Grace Chapel Road from North Lakes Academy to Musket Drive will be closed again Wednesday morning while crews continue repair efforts following Monday’s storms.

The closure will begin at 8am. Officials say crews will be continuing their work repairing power lines and replacing power poles that were damaged.

Residents will be escorted in and out of the area as needed by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies and should allow extra time for their commute due to the closure.

GRANITE FALLS, NC — Grace Chapel Fire Chief Bryan Edwards is urging residents to stay in their homes as a crews work to clear roadways and debris from Monday’s storms.

In a release sent out Monday evening, Chief Edwards said crews were in the process of clearing roadways for traffic but many were still shut down. The chief asks residents to “please stay in your house.”

Officials say another update will be sent out around 8am Tuesday.

Currently, officials say New Farm Road and Grace Chapel Road intersections in Caldwell County are closed indefinitely due to storm damage.
