PATRICK, SC — A Chesterfield County corrections officer was among more than 20 people arrested Monday during a drug bust on BBB Circle.
Deputies raided a home earlier this week after conducting several controlled buys of cocaine and crack cocaine throughout October. According to investigators, 48-year-old Kenneth Lewis lives in McBee but used the home in Patrick, owned by Melissa Eason and Tony Hall, to sell drugs.
While at the home deputies say 10 additional suspects were arrested after stopping by to make drug purchases. Investigators also made additional arrests after confiscating a ledger from Lewis that contained the names of other people he was selling to.
On that list was 36-year-old Bobby Presnell, a corrections officer at the Chesterfield County Detention Center.
Officials say Lewis identified Presnell with the nickname “Preacher,” and said he met Presnell regularly to sell him pills that Presnell would then sell to inmates.
Presnell was charged with Distribution of Schedule II drugs, Misconduct in Office, and Providing Contraband to Inmates after admitting to the accusations.
