Charlotte Airport workers union asks city council to consider “CASE” ordinance

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Airport workers say they are working in unsafe conditions.

The group representing wheelchair assistance, cabin cleaners and baggage loaders is asking Charlotte City Council to introduce a policy to help keep the airport safe.

The Charlotte Acting for Safety and Efficiency Ordinance, or CASE, would set wage guidelines, sick leave and stronger training for airport employees working for private contractors.

WCCB Charlotte’s Kaci Jones has the story.
