UPDATE: 17-year-old charged with man’s murder in east Charlotte

UPDATE:

CHARLOTTE, NC – A 17-year-old is now charged with murder after a deadly shooting in east Charlotte.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on June 24th on Milton Road near The Plaza.

Police initially identified the victim as 17-year-old  Dontre Williams, but later updated his age to 24-year-old.

CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) arrested the suspect on July 8th, but just released information on the arrest.

CHARLOTTE, NC – One person is dead after a shooting in east Charlotte. It happened around 7:30 Tuesday night on Milton Road near The Plaza.

Our crew counted at least six shell casings on the ground. There’s no word on the victim’s name, or any suspects.
