CMPD Hopes To Add More Military Veterans To The Force

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is working to recruit more military veterans to join the force.

Wednesday night veterans got the chance to meet with officers one on one during an open house in southwest Charlotte. One attendee, Sgt. Michael Carter, who also served as a military police officer says veterans bring a different type of skill to the table.

Carter also says veterans bring diversity to the force, which can help with community engagement.
